What a great song it is.
Koi lauta de mere beete huye din,
Beete huye din woh mere pyare pal chin,
It takes you down the memory lane of your own life. Each one of us surely misses the days when we were kids, when there were no worries, no tensions. Life just seem to get up, go to school, study and play hard. Now that we are grown up, our lives have become up nothing but pressure cookers. We have all sorts of worries, tensions to eat up our head.
I personally miss my old days a lot when ever I remember them.
I miss the summer vacations, when after the exams the whole days meant play, play and play. In the morning we use to go to swimming in the river. Then come home by 9-10 have lunch and again by 12.30-1.00 we use to gather at any friends house to play VYAPAAR, SATTI LAVANI, CARROM etc. That would go on till 4.30. Again after having tea/coffee at home we use to gather in the ground at around 5.30 to play cricket. Wow, what a life it use to be.
I miss the summer vacations when I use to go to my mother's village. My three mama's were staying together and in the summer vacations we all use to go there. So it use to be a gathering of we all cousins. The 10-15 days I use to spend there were totally fun filled.
I miss my days as a bachelor, when I had taken a new home at Vasai and was staying alone. Many a times my college friends use to come over there, and we use to have dhamaal at my flat. Teen patti, gossips, pulling legs of somebody from the group etc use to go on for around 1-2 pm in the night.
Then again, I miss my BCom days. I surely miss the group of friends at that time. We use to play cricket in the evening at a ground at after that use to stand with our vehicles at a sqare. We became notorirous as students who didn't have future and who will spend their lives at that square only. The same people who were scolding us for doing nothing and spending our lives standing at the square now look at the same group of boys with respect. As most of us have achieved a good position in the society.
I remember the days, when we as children use to enjoy the first rains. Even the parents wouldn't object us getting wet in the initial rains. We use to play football, kabbadi etc in the rains and it use to be fun.
I miss the days of Diwali, Holi, Dasera, Ganpati etc. I strongly feel that the festivals being celebrated today, has changed a lot that it was when we were children. At that time, Diwali preparations would start soon after the Vijayadashmi. Everybody would knew that the Diwali is coming. Now a days you don't get such feel even till the Dhanteras. You don't feel the same enthusiasm as well in the Ganpati and Navratri days.
As I miss the old days, I also miss the friends, whom I cannot meet now. Whenever meet it gives pleasure to discuss the good olden days.
I wish there as a Time Machine which could take back to your old days.
